THE ROLE:

As a member of the Strategic Silicon Solutions (S3) Business Unit within AMD, the program analyst will work closely with AMD internal teams around the world and customer during project life cycle. You will be responsible for planning, communication and delivery of IP and SoC documents, silicon validation reports and SW/HW components. You will work with all the cross-functional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient execution and will be interacting with a Tier1 customer on a regular basis.

 

THE PERSON:

The candidate will have a passion for working in a highly demanding environment that needs strong communication skills and collaboration abilities across various disciplines to plan, drive and deliver what is requested and agreed. Background in engineering and knowledge in silicon or CPU/GPU is required.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Communicate and negotiate with external customer to define and scope various deliverables of design documents and validation reports, etc.
  • Work closely with multiple internal domains (business development, engineering, design, validation and global operations, etc.) to plan on customer deliverables, track and communicate the status.
  • Coordinate execution across functional teams to assess progress, identify risks and implement mitigation plan as needed to ensure successful deliverables.
  • Customer facing role to work with customer and internal teams globally.

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • 3+ years of program or project management experience in silicon or PC HW/SW.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Strong ability to drive efforts involving multiple functional teams and communicate in a geographically diverse environment.
  • Knowledge of modern CPU/GPU and various system components (chipset, memory, BIOS, OS, drivers, etc.).

 

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering/business or related area
