Research Engineer (Internship)
THE ROLE:
Our group in AMD Research is working on novel algorithms, methodologies, and hardware structures for branch prediction in modern general-purpose CPUs. As an intern, you can immediately contribute to AMD's next generation of technology innovations in this field.
THE PERSON:
The ideal candidate possesses an innovative and problem-solving mindset, has a keen eye for Software engineering development, and is diligent and passionate about Technology.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- In your role, you are involved in the development of novel components.
- You will develop, implement, and adapt algorithms for branch prediction, run experiments, and analyze and present the results.
- You will work with our in-house simulators and extend their functionality.
- Custom simulation frameworks may have to be developed as well.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- C/C++, Python, shell scripting and assembly.
- Software development and debugging.
- Computer architecture.
- Version control systems.
- Machine learning.
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
- Enthusiastic engineers preferably studying on a graduate level for their MSc or PhD degrees in Machine Learning, Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, and related disciplines.
