THE ROLE
AMD is seeking a Public Relations Manager to lead external communications for our Data Center GPU and AI Software business. This role sits within the Communications team and reports directly to the Head of PR for Data Center and Commercial AI.
The PR Manager will build and execute credible, forward‑looking narratives that resonate with developers, technical decision‑makers, and the broader AI ecosystem. This role is responsible for proactive narrative development, end‑to‑end launch leadership, and sustained storytelling across data center GPUs, AI software platforms, and the developer ecosystem. Strong press and influencer engagement, along with the ability to unify product, brand, and corporate messaging, are critical to success.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own communications for the AMD Data Center GPU and AI software team
- Lead external communications for data center GPU products, AI software platforms, and related developer offerings.
- Drive narrative and launch development that connects hardware, software, and real-world AI workloads.
- Help shape how open AI ecosystems evolve, advancing an open, choice-driven platform model that resonates with developers and partners.
- Translate technical work into clear and credible stories
- Partner closely with engineering, product management, product marketing, and developer relations.
- Turn complex topics into accessible, accurate narratives.
- Build developer-centric storytelling
- Create storylines that resonate with developers
- Identify proof points developers care about
- Support developer events, launches, announcements, and moments that matter to the ecosystem.
- Lead launches and sustained storytelling
- Own communications planning and execution for major AI GPU product launches, from narrative and messaging through media and influencer engagement.
- Maintain a steady drumbeat of stories beyond product launches, including customer wins, ecosystem growth, and technical milestones.
- Work across teams to ensure consistency, clarity, and relevance over time.
- Engage media and influencers who matter
- Build and maintain relationships with press, analysts, and creators who cover AI infrastructure, developers, and accelerated computing.
- Pitch stories that are substantive, differentiated, and grounded in technical reality.
- Serve as a knowledgeable spokesperson and briefing lead when needed.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
- Experience in public relations, communications, or related roles, with a strong focus on technology and AI.
- Direct experience working with developer ecosystems, software platforms, or highly technical products.
- Background in AI, data center, cloud infrastructure, GPUs, or enterprise software strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts into compelling, accurate narratives.
- Experience leading product launches and shaping sustained, long‑term narrative strategies.
- Established relationships with media, analysts, and influencers across the AI and data center ecosystem.
- Strong writing and verbal communication skills with executive‑level presence.
- Comfortable working closely with engineering and technical leaders.
- Forward‑thinking mindset with interest in how AI is reshaping platforms, ecosystems, and communications.
- Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and able to operate effectively in fast‑paced, evolving environments.
