THE ROLE: 

This is a position within the AI GPU Software Group (AGS) responsible for AMD's ML SDK initiatives, including GitHub Community Support, ROCm documentation, and visualizers for profiling tools. We have a unique role where the candidate will get a chance to work on the visualizer of our profiling tools.  You will get to work with our Research and Advanced Development (RAD) and Product Management teams in defining and developing the profiling tools.

 

THE PERSON: 

We are seeking someone who is passionate about AI in AMD, creative on pushing boundary for profiling tool development, and able to work patiently and with minimum supervision.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Work closely with AGS, AMD Research and Advanced Development teams, and Product Management to define the profiling tool requirement
  • Design and develop profiling tools for ROCm SW stack
  • Debugging and fixing existing issues
  • Provide status update to upper management
  • This is an on-site role as the hiring team will require the candidate to work in the Markham office.

 

 PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 

  • Performance analysis tools and methods
  • GPU architecture
  • Compute (GP-GPU)
  • C/C++
  • Component Integration
  • Python, UI, and Visualization
  • Web development
  • Experience in custom tools development on Open Source platforms

 

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: 

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
