THE ROLE:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Supply Chain Planner to support our manufacturing supply chain operations. This role combines strategic analysis with hands-on execution, focusing on optimizing material flow, improving system transactions, and supporting purchase order management.
THE PERSON:
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, ERP systems, and supply chain analytics to drive operational efficiency and cost savings.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Tactical Operations Support
- Manage and monitor Purchase Orders (POs), ensuring timely creation, approval, and follow-up with suppliers.
- Execute and validate system transactions related to material movements, inventory adjustments, and production orders.
- Ensure data accuracy and completeness in ERP systems for procurement, inventory, and production modules.
- Support daily operations by troubleshooting transactional issues and coordinating with cross-functional teams.
- Data Analysis & Performance Monitoring
- Analyze supply chain and production data to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities.
- Track and report on KPIs such as PO cycle time, supplier delivery performance, inventory accuracy, and production throughput.
- Develop dashboards and reports using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Excel.
- Process Optimization
- Collaborate with procurement, production planning, and logistics teams to streamline workflows and reduce lead times.
- Identify and implement improvements in material planning, inventory control, and supplier collaboration.
- Support lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Forecasting & Planning
- Assist in demand forecasting and capacity planning using historical production and consumption data.
- Contribute to S&OP (Sales and Operations Planning) processes by providing data-driven insights and scenario modeling.
- Systems & Tools Support
- Support ERP system enhancements and testing (e.g., SAP, Oracle) related to supply chain and manufacturing modules.
- Ensure master data integrity for materials, suppliers, and BOMs (Bill of Materials).
- Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with plant operations, procurement, finance, and logistics teams to gather requirements and deliver analytical support.
- Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership to guide tactical and strategic decisions.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- 3+ years of experience in supply chain or operations analytics within a manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.), especially in procurement and production modules.
- Strong proficiency in Excel, SQL, and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, MRP, and inventory control.Experience in Purchase Order lifecycle management and transactional troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
- Knowledge of automation tools and digital manufacturing technologies
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Analytics, or related field.
