THE ROLE:

This is a hands-on RTL design role focused on the development and integration of a micro-processor subsystem within a highly integrated SoC environment. The primary responsibility is RTL micro-architecture, implementation, and subsystem integration.
The role also includes limited firmware involvement to support hardware bring-up and debug, and participation in AI-assisted engineering initiatives to improve design and debug productivity.

THE PERSON:

You are an RTL-focused engineer who enjoys building complex digital systems and taking designs from specification to signoff. You understand how firmware interacts with hardware and are comfortable working with C/C++ and basic assembly when needed for bring-up or debug. You collaborate well across teams and are open to using AI-assisted tools in your daily workflow. Experience with processor-based systems is important; familiarity with RISC-V is a plus but not required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Own RTL design and implementation for the micro-processor subsystem and selected system IP
  • Implement clean, synthesizable RTL from architectural specifications
  • Drive front-end flows including synthesis, LINT, CDC, and quality checks
  • Deliver high-performance, low-power designs meeting timing and area targets
  • Support subsystem integration, bring-up, and debug in simulation and silicon
  • Assist with firmware bring-up and HW/FW interface debug using C/C++ and assembly
  • Work with verification teams on debug and issue resolution
  • Participate in evaluating and adopting AI-assisted tools for design and debug

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Strong hands-on RTL design experience for processor-based or system-level IP
  • Proficiency in Verilog or SystemVerilog
  • Experience with ASIC front-end flows and RTL debug
  • Familiarity with firmware development in C/C++ and assembly
  • Experience with UVM-based verification environments
  • Exposure to AI/ML tools in engineering workflows is a plus

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in computer engineering/Electrical Engineering
