THE ROLE:
The Business and Market Development Manager, Data Center GPUwill play a key rolewithin the Data Center GPU Business Unit. The role is customer-facing and will focus on the growing AI market. This individual will be responsible for winning data center GPU designs around AMD's current and next generation GPUs, serving as the business development subject matter expert on our AI capabilities, understanding the support requirements and ensuring successful revenue capture.
THE PERSON:
The ideal candidate will possess a breadth of abilities and skills, including: data center GPU product knowledge, machine learning applications and solutions, strong marketing and presentation skills, solid understanding of customers' business and decision makers, and strong team leadership to drive progress on each account. Most importantly, you are the business leader for your accounts - contributing to strategy, setting direction, and achieving success in all facets. You must be self-driven, capable of operating autonomously through ambiguity, and constantly striving for excellence.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead a core team of cross-functional members involved in engaging and supporting the customer, driving to design wins and revenue capture
- Alongside Sales, be a primary contact point in customer engagements, evangelizing AMD data center GPU technologies/products and capabilities
- Identify key players in the growing AI market and cultivate strong technical and business relationships
- Drive and manage pre-design win efforts and deliverables, including complex/enterprise-class engineering engagement which include scoping of any customer-specific customizations and support requirements
- Contribute to the setting of account strategy, the resulting tactical milestones, and leading the team to achieve them.
- Understand the customer's business goals and requirements; foster relationships and manage customer expectations to ensure needs are aligned with AMD business goals
- Be a strong advocate for the customer internally
- Understand customer h/w and s/w requirements, configurations, applications and architect solutions accordingly.
- Work with AMD internal teams across AMD Business Units and core engineering teams to build technical solutions, form presentations to be delivered in the field. Keep up-to-date on relevant competitive AI solutions and work with internal teams to provide competitive responses where needed
- Maintain awareness of, and provide reports on, customer status and key issues
- Drive for highest levels of customer engagement and satisfaction
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Experience in the computing industry, at the OEM or ODM, or CSP level.
- Substantial experience in a customer-facing role across multiple functions within a large organization. Experience with AI projects in hyperscale and enterprise is a plus
- Knowledge of AI workloads and SW stack
- Outstanding written, oral communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
- Ability to multi-task and handle multiple simultaneous projects

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
BS, or higher, in Engineering (Computer or Electrical)
LOCATION:
Shanghai, or Beijing
20%-40% travel to customer or partner sites might be needed
