THE ROLE:

We are looking for a Sales Operations Manager for Japan. In this hands-on role, you will be integral in driving business results by closely partnering the leadership team and other regional sales operations managers. This role will focus on continuous business and operational improvement and effectiveness. You will use your expertise to identify issues that disrupt sales success and help drive solutions.  You will achieve this by working proactively on key business and operational processes initiatives with a focus on continued improvement aimed at enhancing the effectiveness of the sales organization. In addition, you will be tasked with being the Chief of Staff for the Japan office, reporting directly to the Representative Director of AMD Japan.  In this capacity, you will be a key member of the leadership team that develops and drives the growth strategy for the business in Japan, leveraging the analytical skills that are critical for operations, and linking this with strategic action plans both short term as well as medium to long term.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Take a strategic lead role on high critical planning, projects and initiatives in Japan.
  • Create an end-to-end view of the operational requirements of the sales organization
  • Create reports and analyze weekly data against key performance metrics (financial, operational, and market related)
  • Coordination and communication of sales compensation metrics, sales plans, quarterly reviews
  • Organize and align strategic priorities with members of the leadership team and drive execution and performance of strategic initiatives while tracking and delivering on key sales KPI's.
  • Manage annual long range and financial planning with the leadership team, ensuring coordination and consolidation of inputs across the teams.
  • Build and optimize operational cadence and calendar which anticipate the delivery needs of the organization and enable the leadership team to operate effectively and efficiently.
  • Proactively identify issues that impede business group results and providing solutions/recommendations
  • Drive region-wide operations reviews, staff meetings, offsites and other key meetings.
  • Help prepare executive level decks and status updates for key executives and partners

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • >7 years of experience in a combination of operations, strategy or business management role.
  • Recent and detailed experience in the hi-tech industry
  • Demonstrated project and program leadership successProactive and execution focused
  • A track record of creativity and innovation in solutions
  • Actions and results oriented with the ability to make decisions quickly
  • Strong problem structuring and problem-solving skills
  • Experience leading and managing multiple complex projects at a given time with successful results
  • Able to manage a high degree of complexity
  • Ability to influence executive leadership on complex business topics
  • Outstanding collaboration and influencing skills to drive business results
  • Ability to build trusted relationships, and influence team members to ensure delivery
  • High level of proficiency in MS office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and in data manipulation, analysis and presentation.
  • Experience working with SFDC advantageous
