SMTS SILICON DESIGN ENGINEER

THE ROLE: 

Involves assuming the consultative or leadership responsibilities for large projects or product development initiatives. Is required to deal with internal and external groups on behalf of the group or project. Has accountability for results for a whole product or large project, as well as for management of interdependencies with related areas. May have limited accountability for a small number of engineers, be involved in any of the following activities: interview and selection, day-to-day technical supervision or mentoring.

THE PERSON:

A successful candidate will work with senior silicon design engineers. The candidate will be highly accurate and detail-oriented, possessing good communication and problem-solving skills.

KEY RESPONSIBLITIES:

  • Takes implied ownership and responsibilities for many aspects which may impact quality or timelines and does not hesitate to reach out to peers, leaders, managers whenever needed
  • Own complex part of design verification.
  • Mentor juniors and be responsible of getting work done from others.
  • Tasks planning, tracking and assessing the execution risks.
  • Manage the cross-functional communication and resolve any dependencies independently.
  • Participate verification reviews and key debugs.
  • Always strive for excellent and work on verification quality and efficiency


PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 12+years

  • Thorough on SystemVerilog and UVM language and methodology
  • Experience of complete IP/ASIC verification flow, right from planning to verification signoff.
  • Memory protocol knowledge and PHY verification
  • Analog Mixed Signal design verification experience
  • RTL and GLS verification experience 
  • Planning & risk mitigation; mentor; present to stakeholders and execs.
  • Great negotiating skills and influencing decision making skills,

 

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in computer engineering/Electrical Engineering
