THE ROLE:  

The AMD IOMMU Team (part of the NBIO organization) is looking for a passionate, collaborative leader with strong technical skills and the initiative to motivate an expert team. We develop leading-edge I/O connectivity and virtualization technologies powering data center and machine learning workloads. This team is part of the development for tomorrow's client, server, embedded, graphics, and semi-custom chips. You will manage a Silicon Engineering group and innovate with internal teams and external partners to create the next generation of computing technologies.  

 

THE PERSON:

The ideal candidate has experience leading others in technical and managerial settings. You also have excellent communication, writing, and presentation skills.  

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:  

  • Lead and grow a high-performance engineering team working on IOMMU IP Development.
  • Lead IOMMU design strategies from pre-silicon through design execution to post-silicon support, working across architecture, silicon design, firmware/software, validation, and debug teams
  • Proactively leading project planning, developing and maintaining schedules, managing dependencies, and ensuring quality of deliverables at committed milestones
  • Develops regular status representing the design team in program meetings providing status to program and senior management
  • Develop and lead design and IP process improvement initiatives including technical development, quality, and efficiency improvements
  • Collaborate with multi-functional leaders to drive AMD's success 

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:  

  • A strong leader with experience working with cross functional teams. 
  • Strong mentoring and coaching skills 
  • Proven experience managing and leading engineering teams 
  • Strong architecture and design engineering background 
  • Strong communications skills. Able to summarize complex problems for executive as well as drill down to details with architects and engineers 
  • Strong analytic and problem-solving skills including the ability to analyze current behavior, identify potential areas for improvement and design of experiments 
  • Must be a self-starter and self-motivated 
  • Prior experience Managing technical teams 

 

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:  

  • BS/MS degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Computer) or Computer Science.
