JOB DETAILS:
- Location: Belfast
- Onsite: This role requires the student to work full time onsite throughout the duration of the co-op/intern term.
- Duration: 12 month placement starting July 1st 2025
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
You will join our Customer eXperience Engineering (CXE) team, which is part of AMD's Adaptive and Embedded Computing Group. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a highly strategic and important part of AMD's business, targeting the next generation of FPGA technologies and software tools to meet the needs of our broad market of customers.
- As part of the CXE team you will act as ‘Customer Zero', helping to develop full system solutions on our next generations of Adaptive SoCs/FPGAs using tools such as AMD's Vivado and Vitis design software.
- You will gain exposure to the entire hardware development process and learn what it takes to bring a complex design from concept to deployment.
- You will benefit of professional guidance from an experienced engineering team that will enable enormous opportunities for learning and self-development.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- You are currently pursuing a Bachelors or Masters in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related field
- Familiar with AMD's Adaptive SoC/FPGA design tools
- Exposure to digital circuit design and testing via simulation
- Familiar with RTL (Register Transfer Level) development using Verilog or VHDL
- Knowledge of scripting languages: Python, Tcl, Unix preferred
