THE ROLE: 

The Commercial Sales Manager will own end-user relationships to drive sales of the entire AMD portfolio. The Sales Manager will work in tight collaboration with the End Customers, OEM, SIs and distribution to help drive the Commercial business in Japan. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing the AMD sales strategy - including partnerships and market approach to drive large enterprise, corporate, and SMB sales of AMD platforms across commercial PCs, servers, and AI.

The Commercial Sales Manager should demonstrate the following characteristics:
• High level of confidence, maturity and integrity
• Open communication style and presence to work effectively at multiple levels, from
salespeople to senior management
• Honest and trustworthy in dealings with internal/external customers, colleagues and
stakeholders
• Ability to listen to the customer and articulate the customer's needs internally
  

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Deliver on AMDs revenue, unit and market share goals
  • Manage a detailed forecast & multiple quarter pipeline (SFDC)
  • Implement go-to-market and sales-out strategies that grow revenue base and market share
  • Be the face of AMD to all key customers in the assigned regions
  • Build/Execute, in partnership with AMD Marketing, GTM strategy across multiple distributors and partners
  • Identify customer challenges and insert a compelling AMD value proposition to address challenges
  • Ideally have existing relationships with key SIs, VAR & resellers. Previous experience selling into Enterprise and Government highly desirable.
  • Strong historical interaction and relationship with key OEM's (For example HPE, Dell, Lenovo and others)
  • Build confidence and awareness around AMD offerings within the sales teams at key OEMs and resellers
  • Business relationship with ecosystem partners such as Microsoft, AWS, Google and others.

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
Commercial Sales Manager will ideally have the following attributes.

  • Demonstrated success in a comparable role, developing strong customer relationships which have led to sales success
  • Previous Experience working with Key Enterprise/ Forbes 2000 public listed companies
  • An established background in technology sales with at least 5 years' progressive experience
  • Ideally also have previous experience working with OEMs such as HPE, Dell, Lenovo and others
  • Demonstrated effectiveness working in a cross-matrix organization
  • Thrives in an autonomous environment

 

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: 

  • Bachelors or Master's degree in related discipline
