THE ROLE: 

The Commercial Account Executive plays a crucial role in supporting AMD's commercial growth by assisting with customer support, lead generation, opportunity progression, account coordination, and pipeline development across the ANZ region.
A key responsibility is supporting AMD to increase market share across the ANZ commercial business through disciplined execution, strong internal collaboration, and high-quality customer engagement.

She/He will works closely with Account Executives, Channel, Marketing, Solutions Architect teams, and Field Application Engineers (FAEs) to help ensure organisational alignment and effective progression of opportunities throughout the sales cycle.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • 1. Lead Generation & Pipeline Support

    • Assist with customer acquisition and retention support through lead generation, qualification, nurturing, and conversion activities.
    • Action outreach cadences for inbound and outbound leads.
    • Provide clear written rationale for lead rejection where applicable.
    • Support pipeline development through events, internal campaigns, and ecosystem activities.
    • Maintain accurate lead, opportunity, and engagement data in SFDC.

    2. Account & Stakeholder Coordination

    • Maintain and update key contacts, influence mapping, and role categorisation within SFDC for AE's.
    • Support relationship-building across OEMs, distributors, VARs, SIs, resellers, and end customers.
    • Coordinate and document meeting agendas, objectives, and post-meeting summaries.
    • Assist in mapping multi-level relationships between AMD and partner organisations.

    3. Cross-Functional Collaboration

    • Collaborate with internal Sales, Channel, Marketing, Solutions Architect, and FAE teams to progress opportunities and deliver value to customers.
    • Assist senior team members in coordinating internal resources needed to advance opportunities.
    • Support the preparation of materials for internal reviews and customer discussions.

    4. Customer Acquisition & Retention Support

    • Support a set of assigned accounts, assisting in customer acquisition efforts and retention activities.
    • Assist senior team members in preparing acquisition and retention plans and identifying areas for improvement.
    • Document potential risks in SFDC and assist with mitigation tracking.

    5. SFDC Hygiene, Reporting & Data Excellence

    • Maintain disciplined, accurate SFDC usage across accounts, leads, and opportunities.
    • Manage and maintain reports and dashboards for sales team and leaders.
    • Ensure all customer information, account maps and account plans remain current and up-to-date.

    6. Training & Certification

    • Complete all required AMD training.
    • Apply AMD sales methodologies, playbooks, and outreach cadences effectively.
    • Stay current with AMD product roadmaps, value propositions, and competitive positioning.

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 

  • 5 years' experience in sales, business development, inside sales, channel support, or similar role, with proven and consistent results in meeting and exceeding set sales targets in a similar industry.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • Proficient in CRM (SFDC preferred)
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills

  

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: 

  • Bachelors or Master's degree in related discipline
