THE ROLE:

We're looking for a passionate Campus Recruiting Leader with a proven track record of leading early talent recruitment teams. This is an exceptional opportunity for someone who excels at building outreach strategies aligned with corporate goals and taking end-to-end ownership of the campus recruiting process. As the manager of the Canadian team, reporting to the Global Campus Recruiting Leader, you will be a strategic business partner responsible for developing, leading, and implementing hiring initiatives to meet overall recruitment goals and targets. This position is hands-on and focuses on consultation, planning, execution, and continuous improvement.

 

THE PERSON:

Do you have a passion for Campus Recruiting and a history of leading high-performing teams? This role offers a unique opportunity for a recruiting professional who has demonstrated strong execution and end-to-end ownership of the campus recruiting process. In this hands-on role, you will have the chance to innovate in a highly dynamic, fast-paced environment, requiring significant project management and proven execution skills.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and Implement Recruiting Programs
    • Develop and implement effective campus recruiting programs for Canada, aligned with AMD's hiring needs, business goals, and global strategy.
  • Oversee Campus Recruiting
    • Manage all aspects of Canadian campus recruiting, including sourcing, school selection, recruiting processes, diversity & inclusion initiatives, internship conversions, and internship programs.
    • Requires up to 25% travel to universities during career fair season.
      Includes local travel and one annual trip to Austin, TX for a team meeting. 
  • Build Partnerships
    • Create and maintain strong working relationships with all levels within the organization to build successful partnerships.
  • Consult with Senior Leaders
    • Consult with senior leaders to understand business challenges and focus recruiting efforts to achieve a minimum 50% conversion rate.
  • Employer Branding
    • Increase and maintain a strong employer brand on campus, ensuring an ability to attract the highest quality talent.
  • Process Improvement
    • Proactively review and refine processes to increase efficiencies, champion consistency, support a highly positive candidate experience, and adhere to local compliance requirements.
  • Project Leadership
    • Lead various projects related to campus recruiting and programs.
  • Leverage Technology
    • Leverage recruiting technology to enhance business results, provide scalability, timely information, and ensure consistency.
  • Data-Driven Decisions
    • Use data insights to make informed decisions and continuously improve processes and programs.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Demonstrated successful experience building and leading high-performance campus recruiting teams in a hypergrowth technology company.
  • Strong client consulting capabilities with proven ability to build strong, long-term relationships.
  • Exceptional knowledge of university recruiting strategies and execution.
  • Willingness to roll up your sleeves and demonstrate initiative, results, and a focus on service.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to share the overall company vision and talent strategy to achieve results.
  • Ability to encourage and empower team members.
  • Attention to detail and operational excellence.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.

LOCATION:

  • Canada; Markham or Vancouver.
