THE ROLE:

The Software Program Management Team supports the delivery of the next generation of AMD Compute and Graphics Gaming and Workstation Technology Products as well as our Cloud & Virtualization software into the Data Center to enable our key Customer and Partners!  Our Team focuses on on-time delivery of AI/ML software that supports AMD's Products and new technologies.  We plan schedule and resourcing, execute and monitor Programs in accordance to the software development lifecycle, provide status reporting, and actuals to stakeholders and decision-makers.

 

THE PERSON:

The Candidate will own delivering the required Software Stack to support the AI/ML (Artificial Intelligence/ Machine Learning) functionality on both upcoming and already launched products that span across AMD Compute and Graphics Gaming and Workstation products, and/or focus on delivering the SW required to enable our leading Cloud partners!  You will support complex software development, plan its deliverables and then track its execution all the way until launch. Under your Program Manager's mentorship, you will work with talented and creative Software Engineers to shape the future of AI for Gaming, Workstation and Cloud SW!

 

What you will gain

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Scope technical feasibility of new features and market demands by clarifying and analyzing requirements with SW Architects, Technical Leads and SW Engineers
  • Work with Product Managers and Business Leads to translate the Technical requirements into SW Functional Specification and decompose the work
  • Build a SW program schedule by considering various Driver and SW Stack component dependencies, negotiate and create a Staffing Plan that supports the schedule
  • Support cross-functional Engineering engagement and key Engineers to drive technical innovations
  • Track Features Enablement progress by comparing the actual progress against the plan
  • Report Progress weekly to SW Management and drive corrective actions when required.
  • Drive SW Stack quality with respective cross-functional SW Teams to achieve production

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

Technical:

  • Min. 5 years of semi-conductor industry experience with solid AI/ML knowledge
  • Computer Science, gineering, preference in Electrical or Computer Engineering, or Mathematics
  • Combination of strong Technical background and Program/Project Management skills
  • Strong understanding of Computer architecture with exposure to Device Drivers, Firmware, Graphics technology, with strong interest in AI/ ML
  • Experience with Microsoft Project or other planning tool combined with Agile methodologies an
  • Experience with JIRA, Confluence and MS Teams an asset

 

Process-Oriented:

  • Mindset for project management and software development lifecycles and processes
  • Good understanding of requirements management, documentation management, and defect management, ability to grasp concepts during discussions and turn minutes into action items
  • Able to communicate concepts and processes with stakeholders

 

General:

  • Analytical, self-motivated, organized, detailed oriented and results-oriented
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to work well with multiple stakeholders and teams, ability to communicate progress to team members on a regular basis
  • Provide written and verbal briefings for Executives
  • Experience working in a high-pressure environment and competing priorities and tight turnaround times
  • Understanding of the semi-conductor market and experience in its respective technical customer support an asset
  • Experience in cross-functional and global Core Team settings
  • Horizontal leadership/Matrix management experience
  • Flexible working schedule to manage global (specific Asia and North America) program execution team

  

Education/Credentials:

  • Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or Mathematics
  • PMP a must
  • Management Science option as asset
  • AI/ ML specialization option as asset

 

LOCATION:

AMD Serbia (Belgrad or Nis), Hybrid work option possible
