Allied Universal® is looking to hire a Payroll Clerk - Junior. The Junior Payroll Clerk provides support to the Payroll Manager, including manual updates for payments, process a variety of payroll-related tasks, provide reporting, and liaise with branch offices on employee payroll-related issues.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Process ROE through payroll upload file to HRDC and also manage revisions or submissions through Service Canada's ROE web
  • Follow-up with branches on first day worked, reason code, or ROE issues
  • Process TD1 forms, garnishments
  • Process FTQ RRSP changes
  • CPT30 forms-election to stop CPP contributions
  • Review closed bank accounts or rejected deposits and advise branch to update and receive new banking information from employee
  • Follow up with managers and branches for missing payroll documents and collect information in a timely manner
  • Support payroll specialist with administrative tasks as required
  • Answer Service Canada and EI reporting discrepancies forms
  • Administer all document filings
  • Manage, review, download and file courier requests for processing
  • Sort and distribute mail to appropriate recipients
  • Set up, update, and verify benefits eligibility in ADP

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of one (1) year of work experience in an administrative support role
  • Excellent typing and mathematical skills
  • Highly proficient Excel skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Enrolled in the PCP (Payroll Compliance Practitioner) program
  • Experience in the security industry
