About the Role:

The Manager Partnerships and Instituto Alcoa, manage the operations and strategic direction of the Alcoa Institute, ensuring the effectiveness of private social investment initiatives aligned with Alcoa's values, guidelines, and goals. Lead and strengthen partnerships with civil society organizations, government entities, and other stakeholders to foster sustainable development in the territories where Alcoa operates.

You will achieve this by:

  • Alcoa Institute Management:
    Oversee institutional activities of the Alcoa Institute, including governance, strategic planning, budgeting, and reporting, ensuring alignment with the company's global strategy.

  • Private Social Investment:
    Plan, implement, monitor, and evaluate social programs and projects focused on education, income generation and community resilience in alignment with Alcoa´s business and strategic objectives.

  • Institutional Partnerships:
    Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with NGOs, public sector bodies, cross-sector initiatives, and key stakeholders at the local and national levels.

  • Community Engagement:
    Support local Alcoa local teams in engaging with surrounding communities through active listening, ongoing dialogue, and collaborative solution-building.

  • Volunteer Program Management:
    Strengthen Alcoa's corporate volunteer program, promoting employee engagement in high-impact social initiatives.

  • Monitoring and Evaluation:
    Ensure impact measurement of social initiatives using qualitative and quantitative indicators; prepare institutional reports and communicate results strategically.

  • Institutional Representation:
    Represent the Alcoa Institute in relevant forums, networks, and events, positioning Alcoa as a leader in social responsibility and sustainable development.

What you can bring to the role:

  • Bachelor's degree in Administration, Social Sciences, International Relations, Economics, Public Policy, Communication, or related fields.

  • Postgraduate degree (desirable) in Social Responsibility, Sustainability, Project Management, or related areas.

  • Proven experience in managing social projects, cross-sector partnerships, and community relations.

  • Experience with/in third sector organizations as Foundations and Institutes is desirable.

  • Knowledge of public policies, third-sector regulations, and ESG practices.

  • Budget management skills, impact indicators, and institutional reporting.

  • Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.

  • English proficiency is required.
