About the Role:

As an IT Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing support as it pertains to the M365 environment and usage within the Alcoa organization.  You will be part of the M365 platform team to support M365 applications, including Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, Viva Suite, Copilot, and more.  This is a remote opportunity with working hours in EST.

  • Assess the user impact of improvements to applications in the M365 environment, and provides input on change management, adoption, communication, and training.

  • Conduct training sessions for end-users to educate them on effectively using Microsoft 365 applications and services and promote user adoption of new features and functionalities.

  • Work to define and support migration processes to M365, including metadata, permissions, and governance policy.

  • Work with the governance committee in ensuring content management policies for M365 are complying and updated as business needs evolve.

  • Collaborate with the IT Security team, prioritizing safety of Alcoa's people, systems, and content.

  • Monitor the performance and usage of Microsoft 365 services and applications.

  • Evaluate and present business cases for the adoption of new M365 solutions.

  • Identify areas for optimization and implement best practices to improve efficiency and user experience.

  • Stay informed about the latest updates, features, and best practices related to Microsoft 365 through continuous learning and professional development.

What you can bring to this role:

  • Minimum of 5 years previous experience working with an M365 enterprise environment.

  • Strong knowledge of Teams, SharePoint Online, and OneDrive for Business.

  • Demonstrated experience and proficiency with SharePoint Content management.

  • Familiarity with administrative processes/governance in M365 and experience in 3rd party M365 tools, such as Sharegate or other comparable software.

  • Awareness of Microsoft DLP - Microsoft Purview, MS M365 Security & Compliance services, and Data Classification.

  • Current on M365 Services, new developments, and evolving roadmap

  • Ability to work well within the team and colleagues from other departments, technical support teams, and vendors.

  • Ability to clearly document and explain symptoms of end-user issues/concerns.

  • Strong Communications skills (Oral and written), interpersonal, and organizational skills are required.

Basic or Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in M365 environment. 

  • Minimum of 5 years in an IT enterprise team.
