Description

Libety Energy Services, a division of Safety Management Systems, has an immediate opening for an I & E Inspector to join our team in Orlando, FL.

This position works closely with the Project Manager, Systems team and equipment vendors to ensure that the system requirements are being met throughout all disciplines.  

The role has the requirement to engage closely with the delivery team as well as working on innovation to steadily lower construction costs and improving schedules due to delays and rework associated with inadequate quality systems, ITP's, and commissioning planning.  

Accountabilities

  • Review Inspection and Test Plans, Commissioning and Start up plans, System design and requirements documentation including construction bid packages and IFC packages. Make any comments or corrections and additions in preparation for construction.
  • Review and comment on the construction and commissioning RACI. Develop an effective efficient RFI process for fast resolution of defects. 
  • Review construction contractor's QA/QC processes and recommend adjustments as required to conform to industry and requirements.
  • Monitor the field construction through routine inspections and audits.
  • Accountable to make immediate recommendations to correct errors or non-conformance where possible. Issue and track RFI to appropriate disciplines for resolution where required. 
  • Familiar with build it clean/tight principles to avoid contamination and delays in start-up
  • Accountable for all civil-structural and mechanical ITPs
  • Accountable to lead Inspectors for I&E QA/QC and typical ITPs, loop checks and SAT.
  • HSSE Accountabilities
    • Become familiar with the Hydrogen Mobility Safe work plan, including site specific requirements.
    • Intervene and correct any unsafe behaviors
    • Report any near misses or incidents.

Skills and Requirements:

  • >10 years in project delivery of multi-disciplined projects, and evidence of the successful development of a multi-discipline construction inspection and commissioning organizations for a portfolio or project over $150 mln.
  • Relevant Technical degree (preferably in Chemical, Electrical, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering)
  • Extensive experience in managing external stakeholders including State and local US AHJ's, local Fire Marshalls as well as Canadian permitting and environmental stakeholders.
  • Relocation to California to manage construction in both the norther and southern regions of the state. By 2023 construction of several sites are anticipated in Washington State, Oregon and Canada.
  • Project Experience and knowledge of NFPA-2, NFPA-70 and other common methods of fire hazard prevention and mitigation.
  • Basic understanding of QA/QC associated with all disciplines
  • Experience in commissioning complex skid systems such as compressors, chillers, and control systems.
  • Experience in high pressure fluid service including cone and tread tubing.
  • Regular US/Canada travel ~60%.
