Job Description:Education:
- Bachelor's degree in related field of study or equivalent years of related work experience required
Work Experiences:
- 2 – 4 years of related Human Resources (HR) experience.
- Experience managing HR processes in one or more areas such as: I-9/E-Verify, background checks, unemployment claims, talent acquisition, leave administration, compensation, benefits, learning and development, or performance management.
- Experience utilizing HR systems required; Workday experience strongly preferred.
- Understanding and awareness of HR functions, employment law, regulations, and industry trends.
- Proven success of building strong professional partnerships.
- Demonstrated ability to independently seek answers utilizing all available resources.

Responsibilities:
- Serve as subject matter expert for Academy's background check, I-9/E-Verify, and Unemployment Claims processes in alignment and under the general guidance of HR Operations leadership.
- Interpret final separation details and independently determine and formulate Academy's response to unemployment claims, claim decisions, state calls, and hearings within state mandated deadlines. Review and determine relevant documentation including but not limited to policies, procedures, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions. Manage relationship with Academy's unemployment claim third party.
- Analyze background check results and independently determine the individualized assessment ensuring compliance with respective laws and Academy's criteria and procedures. Manage relationship with Academy's background check provider.
- Manage the I-9 and E-Verify process with thorough knowledge and understanding of USCIS and E-Verify compliance requirements. Partner with managers, HR business partners, and Legal to resolve issues. Independently educate managers and HR business partners regarding I-9/E-Verify compliance.
- Manage Academy's Tuition Reimbursement and Team Member Relief programs which includes determining applicable payments. Independently communicates with team members and HR business partners regarding program eligibility and requirements and to resolve escalations.
- Interpret policies, procedures, and guidelines providing recommendations within HR Operations role and responsibility. Use judgment to utilize applicable communication channels appropriate for the audience and sensitivity of the issue.
- Produce and manage metrics analyzing trends and identifying process improvement opportunities focused on emerging issues, compliance, enhancing effectiveness, efficiencies, and best practices.
- Conduct ongoing audits and reviews to ensure process integrity and optimal delivery of services. Identify, prepare, and analyze reports managing large volume of complex data.
- Research and review Workday system capabilities to assist managers and HR business partners with best practices, requirements, and quality and integrity of all HR data.
- Guide managers and HR business partners through the internal firearm background check process and eligibility of team members in respective roles throughout Academy.
- Manage Federal, state, and local audit requirements compiling information, data, and responses within mandated deadlines. Identify potential audit findings and education opportunities for managers and HR business partners.
- Build strong relationships with team members, managers, and HR business partners while providing a high quality customer experience.
- Review, resolve, and respond to HR inquiries and issues timely and consistently. Evaluate potential system limitations, team member concerns, and determine next steps and escalation as needed.
- Oversee the employment verification process and ensure adherence and resolution of issues with vendors.
- Maintain and produce complete and accurate HR records required to substantiate response to claims, litigation and third party subpoenas related to legal requirements, audits, and investigations.
- Ensure all state mandated Separation Notices are delivered accurately and timely to team members.
