The Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) Development Prospect Analyst is integral in identifying potential Major Giving prospects while also analyzing the behavior of existing donors and gift officers. This analysis aims to pinpoint areas where resources can be optimized, allowing teammates to effectively cultivate and solicit gifts of $25,000 and above. The Development Prospect Analyst will collaborate with teammates to ensure well-balanced and engaged portfolios, essential for an effective stewardship and cultivation cycle. Moreover, this teammate plays a crucial role in identifying prospective major giving donors and determining the most appropriate strategic solicitation approaches that set the team up for success.


 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Effectively communicate WWP's history, mission, vision, and programs to potential funding sources, both verbally and in written form, showcasing a compelling narrative to engage and attract support.

  • Collect, organize, interpret, and succinctly summarize statistical data to identify high-quality prospective donors.

  • Apply expertise in quantitative analysis, data mining, and data presentation to craft and communicate effective strategies for soliciting gifts and maintaining stewardship, ensuring optimal approaches for successful fundraising.

  • Demonstrate good judgment in selecting methods and techniques to solve complex problems.

  • Establish effective working relationships and work collaboratively with WWP teammates across the organization, e.g., Communications, Marketing, Programs, and other Resource Development teams, working cross channels to garner new donors and maximize outreach efforts.

  • Identify and analyze trends within the current database forecasting in ROI reporting.

  • Collaborate with teams on portfolio management strategies and maintain up-to-date account moves in the database for accurate and comprehensive record-keeping.

  • Support database team with outside vendors on trends analysis and forecast modeling.

  • Communicate project statuses, findings, and trends to relevant teams.

  • Other related duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

  • Strong business acumen with the ability to monitor, compile, and analyze data to guide decision making.

  • Strong interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain professional relationships and build successful and effective relationships.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills to effectively convey complex technical information and requirements to teammates and leadership.

  • Ability to investigate, analyze, and synthesize large quantities of data into a user-friendly and concise format for the use of the Development team.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills, demonstrated through the adept handling of varied tasks. Proven track record of flexibility and adaptability to swiftly accommodate shifting priorities while consistently meeting deadlines.

  • Attention to detail, coupled with the ability to effectively prioritize, delegate tasks, and ensure the timely completion of objectives.

  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and tact.

  • Demonstrated understanding of Wounded Warrior Project and its mission, values, programs, and services, and the impact of these programs and services on wounded warriors and their families.

  • Evidenced familiarity of military service organizations (MSOs) and veteran service organizations (VSOs).

  • High energy level. Self-starter; willing to take initiative.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in code first data processing and analysis.

  • Unequivocal commitment to the highest standards of personal and business ethics and conduct.

  • Mission-driven, guided by core values, and a pleasure to work with.

EXPERIENCE

Requirements

  • Two years of experience in data analysis/administration.

  • Proficiency in code first data processing.

Preferences

  • Three years of experience working in a non-profit organization.

EDUCATION

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, statistics, or related field. Equivalent combination of applicable education, training, certification, and experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

Preferences

  • Formal training and/or proficiency in utilizing RStudio for data analysis and visualization.
