Position Summary:
The Director of Revenue Cycle Management will serve as the programmatic and operational leader for Revenue Cycle and is responsible to the Vice President of Financial Operations. The Director is responsible for coordinating and monitoring the Revenue Cycle function, including: Electronic Health Record (EHR) Practice Maintenance (billing side of the EHR), guarantor maintenance, coding, and an over-site role of the billing department.

The posted range represents the full hiring range. Offers will not exceed this range, the majority of candidates are placed near the midpoint based on experience and qualifications.
Job Duties & Functions:
- Research and resolve high level, complex, systems and billing issues.
- Participate in revenue cycle audits, coding compliance reviews and other regulatory activities as necessary.
- Interface directly with insurance payers (including Medicaid Regional Accountable Entities) as needed to resolve billing and collections issues.
- Maintains appropriate internal controls and safeguards over adjustments and write-offs; ensures compliance with department policies to guarantee proper review and approval of adjustments.
- Oversee billing, collection and EHR Practice Maintenance team to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the Revenue Cycle.
Department Leader:
- Develops and manages operational initiatives with measurable outcomes.
- Formulates objectives, goals and strategies collaboratively with other stakeholders.
- Prepares and delivers reporting to leadership outlining progress and objectives
- Handle installation, testing, documentation and training for any new Practice Maintenance -related update/process being introduced.
- Notify/train Accounts Receivable team when any monthly update results in changes to the user interface or functionality within EHR.
Financial Manager:
- Actively seeks opportunities to improve financial outcomes, engaging staff in the process.
- Monitors and analyzes financial data and utilizes it for decisions regarding staffing and operational budget targets.
- Directs and provides guidance to effectively allocate resources based on volume, priorities, goals and objectives.
Administrative Leader:
- Assess services, identify problems, utilize data to analyze and propose innovative approaches for solutions.
- Maintain records related to operations and services that are complete, accurate, available and in compliance with all legal, regulatory and policy requirements.
- Engages staff and other stakeholders in continuous improvement of processes and systems. Suggest workflow changes to reduce redundant processes.
- Remain current of new trends and best practices for effectively promoting the organization's Revenue Cycle practices.
- Effectively facilitates meetings at Revenue Cycle and organizational level.
- Manages complex interdepartmental and interdisciplinary relationships to assure collaboration and effective operations within the Revenue Cycle.
- Maintain a trauma informed environment of wellbeing.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in healthcare administration, finance or a related field.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in healthcare revenue cycle management, with at least three years in a leadership role.
- Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Revenue Cycle Professional (CRCP), or other relevant certification preferred.
Work Location: This is a hybrid opportunity open to folks residing in the Greater Denver Metro area and will require 1-2 days per week on-site and the rest of the week working remotely
Shift/Hours: Monday - Friday Standard business hours.
Physical Requirements: This role is primarily sedentary and requires regular computer use, effective communication, manual dexterity for typing, and visual acuity for reviewing on-screen and printed materials.
