This role ensures the organization's ability to maintain essential services and operations during and after disruptions, safeguarding patient care, staff safety, and organization stability. The Associate Director will assist in leading the development of risk assessments, business impact analyses, continuity plans, and recovery strategies, while fostering a culture of preparedness throughout the organization. Manage, supervise, and mentor safety/risk management team members. For a full description of benefit offerings, please visit: <a href="https://wellpower.org/workplace-of-choice/">https://wellpower.org/workplace-of-choice/</a>.</p> <p><strong>Essential Functions:</strong></p> <p><strong>• </strong>Support the development and maintenance of a business continuity management system aligned with Colorado laws and industry standards.<strong><br>• </strong>Strategically lead the organization in designing a culture of safety.<strong><br>• </strong>Oversee safety programs across the organization.<strong><br>• </strong>Assist in creating and updating policies and procedures for business continuity, disaster recovery, and crisis management.<strong><br>• </strong>Collaborate/consult with HR/People Operations regarding staff specifics safety issues (e.g., stalking, restraining orders etc.)<br><strong>• </strong>Conduct risk assessments to identify threats and vulnerabilities affecting the organization.</p> <p>• Perform business impact analyses to prioritize recovery efforts based on patient care and operational needs.<br>• Assist in developing and maintaining continuity and disaster recovery plans for scenarios such as natural disasters, and pandemics. Direct safety drills, including active threat training and exercises.<br>• Manage Union safety related concerns, in collaboration with other departments.<br>• Ensure plans are accessible and communicated effectively to all relevant staff.<br>• Help design and conduct regular testing, training, and exercises to validate and improve continuity plans.<br>• Collaborate with the training department to manage safety-related staff trainings.<br>• Serve on the crisis management team and support internal and external communication during safety incidents.<br>• Manage communication tools including the risk management inbox and hotline; coordinate with outside agencies as needed.<br>• Collaborate with local Law Enforcement, Fire Department and Community partners on Safety Response efforts.<br>• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, oversee incident investigations, and manage insurance inquiries and CIR reporting.<br>• Management of OSHA compliance Program.<br>• Evaluate and manage vendor relationships to ensure their continuity plans align with organizational standards.<br>• Performs other duties as assigned.</p> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></span></p> <p><strong><em>Experience:</em></strong><br>• Minimum of 2 years of experience in business continuity, disaster recovery, or emergency management, preferably in a healthcare or behavioral health setting.<br>• Proficiency with technology and software products for communication, planning and project management, data collection, analysis and reporting.<br>• Excellent knowledge of relevant regulations and standards (e.g. HIPAA and 42 CFR part 2, Colorado laws and processes, including Title 25 Behavioral Health & Behavioral Health Administration (BHA), OSHA regulations), regulatory requirements for care coordination, involuntary commitment, and reporting.</p> <p><strong><em>Education:</em></strong><br>• Bachelor's degree in business administration, emergency management, information technology, or a related field.<br>• Professional certifications such as CBCP (Certified Business Continuity Professional, MBCI (Member of the Business Continuity Institute), or similar are highly preferred.<br>• Certification in health care policy, privacy, and/or information security preferred (e.g., CHPS, CHPC, CIPP).</p> <p><strong>Why Work at WellPower?</strong><br>Join a workplace where purpose meets passion!</p> <ul> <li><strong>Mission-Driven Impact</strong>: Be part of meaningful work that transforms lives and strengthens the Denver community.</li> <li><strong>Wellness-Focused Culture</strong>: Thrive in an organization that prioritizes your self-care and well-being.</li> <li><strong>Award-Winning Workplace</strong>: Proudly named a <em>Top Workplace</em> by <em>The Denver Post</em> for 11 consecutive years.</li> <li><strong>Comprehensive Benefits</strong>: Access medical, dental, vision insurance, PTO, and retirement matching—available at just 30 hours per week.</li> <li><strong>Competitive Pay</strong>: Our $26.72/hour minimum wage ensures fair compensation for all employees.</li> <li><strong>Licensure Support</strong>: Free supervision for LCSWs, LPCs, and LMFTs.</li> <li><strong>Team Activities</strong>: Connect with colleagues through fun leagues like bowling, volleyball, dragon boat racing, and more!</li> </ul> <p> </p>
