Description
The Corp Government Affairs Coordinator will be a pivotal team member in various public sector communication and government affairs projects, including but not limited to database development, data analysis and maintenance, Request for Proposal (RFP) responses, contract management, and customer and government correspondence. This key position will work with the Communications and Governmental Affairs teams to organize and complete multiple simultaneous proposal, contract, and data management projects. The ideal candidate is curious and motivated to learn about the solid waste industry and to grow as a professional in the public affairs and communications sector.
What You Will Do
The Corp Government Affairs Coordinator will report to the Vice President of Government Affairs and is a key contributor to the Communications and Municipal Marketing departments to include data and contract management, proposal building, and business development. This is a highly networked role that requires an ability to work within a team, under pressure, and meet challenging deadlines.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
· At least 3 years of experience in data management and analysis, preferably in waste, construction, or public sector industries
· Strong organizational and project management skills, with the capability to own deadline-conscious projects from start to finish
· Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
· Strong working knowledge of creating and manipulating PDFs in Adobe preferred
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Ability to work within a team in a fast-paced, deadline-conscious, results-driven environment with a dedicated sense of urgency
· Capacity to develop new organizational systems and databases, and to quickly grasp and work within existing organizational systems and software platforms
· Flexibility and competence to interact with all levels of the organization

Essential Job Functions
· Develop and maintain contracts, proposals, and related databases, including building custom templates and reports and leading ongoing database management
· Facilitate adoption of newly developed contract databases by other corporate and regional departments
· Lead proposal document preparation and formatting reviews in coordination with Communications team and regional teams
· Maintain and update content library for proposal writing repository
· Lead collaborative market research across footprint
· Research and monitor business development opportunities, to include responsibility for managing access to business development platforms
· Prepare presentations for a variety of public sector functions
· Manage internal communications pertaining to databases, templates, and reports
· Other duties as assigned

· Employees in this job classification must attend and participate in corporation sponsored training courses as assigned.
· Employees in this job classification are responsible for keeping up to date on current technology, as job appropriate, being used by Waste Pro USA.
· Any additional job duties that may be assigned by the Supervisor.
