Kaiser Permanente - Washington Permanente Medical Group is seeking a Hospitalist - Procedural Nocturnist to join KP Central Hospital in Seattle, Washington. Washington. The Procedural Nocturnist will manage the medical care of hospitalized patients, with no outpatient responsibilities overnight. This includes admitting patients to the hospital, evaluating patients in the Emergency Department, and managing patients across all settings in the hospital: ICU, IMCU, telemetry, and general medical surgical floors. This will also include central line placement and basic hospital medicine procedures.

What You'll Do

  • Deliver comprehensive inpatient medical care, including admissions and Emergency Department evaluations
  • Manage complex medical patients across multiple levels of acuity in a collaborative, team-based environment
  • Apply strong diagnostic and therapeutic judgment while practicing evidence-based medicine
  • Partner with care management teams to support safe transitions of care, chronic disease management, and alternatives to inpatient care
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, clinical protocols, and best practices
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and clinical teams, ensuring an exceptional care experience
  • Utilize Epic and other clinical technologies to support efficient, high-quality care delivery

What We're Looking For

We're seeking clinicians who are collaborative, adaptable, and committed to clinical excellence. Ideal candidates are motivated to continually grow their skills, contribute to team success, and practice within a supportive, physician-led organization.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited residency in Internal Medicine, or
    completion of an ACGME-accredited Family Medicine residency with additional hospitalist-focused training or experience
  • Experience managing hospitalized patients, including procedural and high-acuity care
  • Eligibility for WPMG core Hospitalist Medicine privileges, including ventilator management, vasoactive medication management, central line placement, and procedural sedation
  • Current unrestricted Washington State medical license (or eligibility to obtain)
  • BLS and ACLS certification
  • Ability to obtain and maintain hospital privileges at designated facility
  • Board certification required within three years of employment
  • Demonstrated clinical skills to evaluate, treat, and provide follow-up care for hospitalized patients, with the ability to coordinate care effectively with intensivists.

  • Approval by WPMG for core privileges in Hospitalist Medicine, including ventilator management, vasoactive drug management, central line placement, and sedation.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Salary Range: $324,168 to $381,374 (salary will be prorated based on FTE, new hire salaries will be based on factors such as education, training and experience.)
