- Certification Details
- Traveler must have WI nursing license or compact license from their permanent address state
- Will consider candidates without WI or compact license but must apply for a temporary license under the Wisconsin Act 10 order within 48 hours of offer accepted and provide proof of application
- BLS & ACLS must be certified through American Heart Association ONLY
- Traveler must have Basic Arrhythmia experience
- Traveler will be required to pass UW Health Telemetry test prior to being cleared to start (not for clinic positions)

- Engage in acquiring new skills and integrating evidence-based nursing practices into the unit culture
- Job Requirements
- Facility Requirement: Traveler must have permanent address outside 50 mile radius of Madison
- Experience: ICU or IMC and surgical post-op experience required
- Must be willing to work with IMC or general care patient population as they rarely see ICU patients
- Thoracic experience preferred
- Traveler must have completed two years of acute care experience within the last 3 years
- Traveler must have experience in an Academic Level 1 or Level 2 trauma center
- Education verification required
- Schedule Information
- Traveler may have shifts scheduled in multiple units, depending on the current staffing needs and/or different locations within the organization
- During the traveler's assignment, if the primary unit no longer has a need, shifts will be re-assigned to another unit in order to complete contract
- Unit Specific Information
- Travelers are the first to float to floors working with children up to 1 year of age and/or based on the traveler's competency skills/experience
- The Traveler may have shifts scheduled in multiple units
- If the primary unit no longer has a need, shifts will be re-assigned
- Additional Details
- UW Health is moving away from using outdated file formats for Microsoft (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel). Profiles will need to be submitted in .docx, .xlsx, and .pptx file types
