The School of Arts, Technology, and Emerging Communication (ATEC) at The University of Texas at Dallas invites applications for part-time lecturers to teach courses in the one or more of the following areas: Animation & Games, Design & Creative Practice, Critical Media Studies or foundational undergraduate courses. Desired areas of expertise include, but are not limited to: Arts, Cultural Studies, Design, Computer Imaging, Design Research Methods, Interaction Design, or related fields.

Appointment as a Lecturer I does not constitute service in the tenure system, nor does it carry or imply any credit toward establishing tenure at UT Dallas,

Review of applications will begin immediately. Appointment will begin in January 2021 for the spring term.

Minimum Education and Experience

An earned graduate degree appropriate to the academic discipline/topic and a record of productivity and professional achievement.

Preferred Education and Experience

An earned terminal degree (MFA or PhD) in Arts, Communications, Cultural Studies, Design or a related field is required.

At least two years of excellent teaching experience at an institution comparable to UT Dallas or extensive professional background in a closely related field is preferred.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Demonstrate a commitment to teaching excellence.
Contribute assessment information and data as requested.
Prepare and teach graduate and/or undergraduate classes.
