Description
The Eugene McDermott Library is seeking an innovative and service-oriented leader to manage the daytime operations of the Access Services Department. This role involves overseeing the daytime operations of circulation, copy center, and multimedia services, maintaining accurate fine and fee records, ensuring departmental equipment is in good working order, providing staff training, and supervising full-time employees and student workers.
Minimum Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree with three (3) years of library service experience; and One (1) year supervisory experience.

- At least 3 years of experience in an academic or public library.
- Working knowledge of an integrated library system such as ALMA.
- Recent experience supervising full-time staff.
- Familiarity with library circulation policies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Experience troubleshooting software and hardware issues.
- Excellent communication skills and a history of providing outstanding customer service.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Manage the daytime activities of the Access Services Department, including circulation, copy center, and multimedia services. Supervise full-time employees and student workers to ensure efficient and effective operations during daytime hours, and serve as the backup to the department head.

Work Notice:
Work will be performed on-site and in person. Schedule: Monday-Friday, with occasional flexibility required to cover evening, weekend, and overnight shifts.
