Position Description   We are seeking to recruit a non-tenure system Professor of Instruction, at a rank depending on experience. The successful candidate will serve as the director of the Professional Program in Finance (PPF).  The PPF program is designed to help exceptional undergraduate finance students achieve career success in the most competitive areas of finance (e.g., investment banking, private equity, investment management, or other areas of financial services).  Separate from their teaching responsibilities, the director is responsible for selecting students to participate in this program, mentoring those selected, and preparing students for the marketplace.    The appointment commences for the fall 2024 semester.   Qualifications   Minimum Education and Experience: A Master's degree with at least five years of experience in the financial services industry.  Candidates are expected to demonstrate the ability to work effectively in a highly collaborative, engaging, and dynamic environment comprised of individuals with a range of backgrounds, skills, and perspectives. We are seeking candidates able to deliver high quality teaching using evidence-based practices to effectively engage students from a range of backgrounds and experiences.   Preferred Education and Experience: Preference will be given to candidates with a Ph.D. and at least five years of experience in the financial services industry, and who have progressed to managerial positions within this industry.     Naveen Jindal School of Management   The Naveen Jindal School of Management has become a national and international leader in research and education since its own entrepreneurial beginning in 1975. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Demonstrate a commitment to teaching excellence;
Prepare and teach undergraduate and/or graduate classes;
Contribute assessment information and data as requested;
Mentor and/or advise undergraduate and/or graduate students;
Continue to expand professional influence in the academic discipline through research and/or publication;
Engage in service within the academic unit, the university, and the profession as appropriate based on teaching and research constraints;
Teach eight (8) classes each academic year.
