Position Summary:

Center for Neural Circuit Mapping (CNCM) is an inter/multidisciplinary, neurobiology-based virology-based Research unit at the University of California, Irvine (UCI) in the School of Medicine (SOM). Under the director, the activities of the center include a bi-monthly seminar series, symposium, yearly conference with other research activities such as a viral core, imaging core, and equipment core levering cutting-edge technology such as the MerScope, Sony FCAS Cell sorter, Jess western blotter.

Assistant to the director of the Center for Neural Circuit Mapping (CNCM) an inter/multidisciplinary, neurobiology-based and virology-based Research unit at the University of California, Irvine (UCI) in the School of Medicine (SOM). CNCM website: cncm.som.uci.edu The incumbent has direct responsibility for day-to-day management of research logistics. This includes assistance with secluding group meetings, equipment management, reimbursement, other financial transactions related to purchasing, in a timely manner. Incumbent will use Kuali Financial System. Serves as a center resource for implementing contracts, following UCI policy and procedures, in relation to sponsorship and sales and service contracts. Responsible for assistance in organizing and managing team research meetings, workshops, symposia and special events including the annual conference. Duties include: site planning, organization, interfacing, coordination, contract review. Responsible for the quarterly newsletter, memos, requests, presentations and proposals. Must know Microsoft word; Excel. Adobe (in-design) and webpage management experience bonus but not required. Other administrative duties under the direction of the Director. This position is 100%. Must be able to attend in person seminars on Tuesdays 10am and annual conference. Some overtime may be required. Requires in-person attendance.

$27.34 - $30.63 (Hourly Rate) Expected Pay Range within the Full Salary Range $27.34 - $39.18 (Hourly Rate)


Required:

• At 1 year working experience

• Bachelor's degree

Special Conditions Required:
