Qualifications:
Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on the unit. Knowledge of growth and development over the life span. Must be able to communicate effectively, in English, both verbally and in writing.
Licensure / Certification:
CA Certified Nurse assistant. BLS/CPR certification. Non-violent crisis intervention/verbal de-escalation course within 3 months of hire.
Education and Experience:
Formal nurse assistant course and/or one year nurse assistant experience preferred.
Position Summary
Provides professional and technical skills to ensure safety, comfort personal hygiene and the protection of patients in the provision of patient care. Over seen by the assigned RN and Clinical coordinator. Reports to the Manager and Chief Nursing Officer.
Mandatory Requirements
As a condition of employment the following must be continuously met.
- Hospital Mandatory Education Requirements: Orientation, Environment of Care, OSHA, Infection Control, Abuse/ Neglect, and Ethics
- Tuberculosis Screening L
- Licensure Renewal
- ACLS
- PALS
- NRP
- BLS - AHA -HCP
- CPI
