Summary of Job Duties: The Registered Nurse II will promote wellness; improve outcomes, and self-care within a defined population of patients. The RN II will provide patients who have chronic conditions the support, education, and assistance in the prevention and/or maintenance of their disease and/or health and wellness state. The RN II Prior Authorization (PA) Nurse reviews medical treatments, services, or procedures to determine if they qualify for insurance coverage. They assess, evaluate, and make recommendations to ensure patients receive necessary care while adhering to insurance guidelines and regulations. This role often involves collaboration with healthcare providers, patients, and insurance companies.
Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program with Associates Degree, Nursing Diploma, Bachelors in Nursing, or Master's in Nursing 
• Valid RN License.
• Minimum of 1 years of Registered Nursing experience. 
• Strong computer and typing skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3 years RN experience 
• Case Management experience, 5 years or more 
• Knowledge or experience in PCMH
• Ability to interpret insurance policies and guidelines
• Knowledge of medical terminology and coding
