Monday - Friday with periodic Saturday coverage of Card Services.
Candidates must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the communities served by Travis Credit Union, which include the following counties: Alameda, Colusa, Contra Costa, Merced, Napa, Placer, Sacramento, San Joaquin, Solano, Sonoma, Stanislaus, and Yolo. For hybrid and remote roles, candidates are still required to reside within a commutable distance of our corporate headquarters in Vacaville, California.   We are unable to sponsor or assume sponsorship of employment visas for this position. Candidates must have current authorization to work in the U.S. (no sponsorship available).   Summary: Travis Credit Union's Payment Services Management is responsible for leading and optimizing end-to-end payment operations, including ACH, real-time payments, card services, and treasury management. It ensures operational excellence, regulatory compliance, risk mitigation, and seamless member experience across all payment channels. The family drives consistent, high-quality outcomes aligned with organizational goals while fostering continuous improvement and change management. Profile:

  • Leads, trains, evaluates, coaches, professionally develops and motivates staff to attain department goals. Sets and monitors performance goals. Promotes a work environment that encourages involvement, initiative and teamwork. Builds career development paths for assigned staff.
  • Defines and maintains payment process documentation, standards, and controls across ACH, real-time payments, card services, and treasury management services.
  • Serves as the single point of accountability for assigned payment processes and coordinates cross-functionally to ensure alignment and service quality.
  • Ensures adherence to applicable rules and regulations (e.g., NACHA, FedNow, RTP, Zelle, card network rules) and internal policies; prepares for and supports audits/exams.
  • Uses data and operational metrics to monitor process performance, identify risks/trends, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Manages vendor relationships related to payment processing platforms, card networks, and treasury systems; ensures SLAs are met and issues are promptly addressed.
  • Leads change management to implement new technologies, regulatory updates, and process enhancements; communicates changes and ensures adoption.                                                                                                                                         

Skills: 

  • Strategic and analytical thinking; operational excellence and continuous improvement mindset (Lean/Six Sigma).
  • Deep knowledge of ACH operations, RTP/FedNow, card processing, and treasury management services.
  • Vendor management, contract/SLA oversight, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and team-building capabilities.
  • Compliance and risk management focus; experience with audits/exams and fraud monitoring tools.
Reporting and Experience:  
  • Reports directly to assigned division leadership.
  • Direct supervisory responsibilities for assigned department staff.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related field; or equivalent related work experience.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in payment operations, treasury management, or financial services.
  • Minimum of  3 years in supervisory or leadership role.
  • Accredited ACH Professional (AAP) certification.
  • Strong working knowledge of ACH operations, RTP/FedNow, and card processing functions.
  • Experience with treasury management systems, electronic payment platforms, core banking solutions, and fraud monitoring tools.
  • Deep understanding of payment-related regulations and risk management practices.
  • Accredited CTP certification, preferred.
  • Additional industry credentials such as AARP, NCP, or relevant certifications, preferred.
  • Lean Six Sigma experience or certification (Green Belt or higher), preferred.
Compensation

Grade 19 Exempt:  $116,646.40 - 144,102.40
