Summary:  Travis Credit Union's (TCU) Manager, Mortgage Loan Officers is the ambassador to TCU members for mortgage products.  This role leads a diverse sales team in business development and successful closure of mortgage loans while handling complex loan applications and maintaining key client relationships.   Profile:  

• Team Management
• Supervise, mentor, and train a team of loan officers to achieve individual and team production goals
• Assign workloads and monitor performance to ensure team goals are met
•  Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback
• Promotes a work environment that encourages involvement, initiative and teamwork. Builds career development paths for assigned staff.
• Implement and oversee quality control measures for loan processing
• Loan Origination and Processing
• Handle complex and high-value loan applications
• Evaluate applicants' financial status, credit, and property evaluations to determine loan eligibility
• Negotiate loan terms and structure deals within company guidelines
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies
• Business Development
• Develop and maintain relationships with key clients, real estate professionals, and other referral sources
• Represent the company at industry events and conferences
• Identify market opportunities and contribute to the development of new loan products
• Operational Excellence
• Collaborate with underwriting, processing, and closing teams to ensure smooth loan transactions
•  Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to inform strategic decisions
• Contribute to the development and implementation of department policies and procedures

• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in loan origination software and financial analysis tools.
• Strong knowledge of credit, credit scores and underwriting.
• Excellent analytical and math skills to help determine the best financial course of action for members.

Reporting and Experience: 

• • Reports directly to Home & Consumer Lending Leadership
  • Management oversight of external Mortgage Loan Officers
  • BA/BS in Finance, Business related field, or equivalent experience
  • Active Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) license
  • 7+ years of experience as a loan officer, with at least 3 years in a senior or management role
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding loan production targets
  • Extensive knowledge of mortgage products, underwriting guidelines, and regulatory requirements

Compensation:   Base + Commission.
