We are looking for a teammate who embodies these principles, offering empathetic, expert guidance to our associates throughout their entire career journey from their first orientation to their well-earned retirement.
Why You'll Love This Role
- Dedicated Expertise: Serve as the subject matter expert and point of accountability for a robust portfolio of over 25 diverse benefit programs.
- Strategic Educator: Move beyond administration by driving proactive associate outreach, leading bi-weekly orientations, and crafting clear benefit materials that demystify complex plans.
- Advanced Administration: Lead the "big stuff," including the ADA interactive process, leave administration (FMLA/PFL), and retirement/pension plan administration in a high-volume healthcare setting.
What You'll Do
- Benefits Lifecycle Management: Manage the full lifecycle of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life/AD&D, HSA/FSA, and wellness initiatives.
- Leave & Disability Administration: Partner with carriers to oversee FMLA, NYS Disability, and PFL claims, while guiding managers and associates through return-to-work and reasonable accommodation processes.
- Retirement Stewardship: Administer active and frozen retirement programs (403b, Pension, 457), coordinating calculations and supporting participants through their transition to retirement.
- HRIS & Data Integrity: Act as a UKG power user - configuring benefit plans, generating complex reports, and ensuring system accuracy for payroll and finance.
- Compliance & Regulatory Leadership: Ensure 100% compliance with ACA, ERISA, HIPAA & COBRA, and lead the preparation for annual audits and Form 5500 filings.
- Associate Advocacy: Serve as a proactive consultant for associates, assisting with claim escalations, eligibility audits, and vendor resolutions.
What You Bring
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field (or equivalent experience paired with continued education) required.
- Experience: 3+ years of progressive benefits administration experience, ideally within a high-volume or healthcare environment required.
- Compliance Expertise: Excellent working knowledge of ACA, COBRA, ERISA, FMLA, ADA, and NYS Disability/Workers' Compensation.

- The Right Mindset: A high degree of accuracy, a passion for confidentiality, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
