The Cook III performs a variety of Food Service tasks. Duties include food preparation, serving of food to regular and modified diets using prescribed menu and diet cards. Work involves preparing areas for preparation and meal service, serving meals to clients and following established procedures, and cleaning areas to meet required sanitary standards. Duties are performed under the supervision of the Dietetic Assistant. Hazardous working conditions consist of wet floors, hot surfaces, foods, liquids, steam, and sharp utensils. Must have physical ability to lift and carry fifty (50) pounds and appropriate skills to perform all duties and tasks in a safe manner.
