Position Summary:
Tetra Tech, Inc. is seeking a full time Water Resources Engineer to support our growing New Ventures and Mission Critical water supply team. The position will be responsible for technical work assignments related to water supply evaluations associated with site selection due diligence, feasibility studies, water availability modeling (groundwater and/or surface water), and permit application development.
Essential Job Functions:

- Research, summarize, and explain regulatory and technical requirements related to water supply development to technical and non-technical stakeholders and clients.
- Successfully complete tasks independently.
- Write documents and reports, including technical and financial analysis, and provide conclusions and recommendations.
- Conduct presentations to internal and external clients.
- Collaborate with diverse teams.
- Utilize expertise (technical, logistical, regulatory, and finance) to develop project strategies and assess project risk.
- Work with and build relationships with public, commercial, or international customers by managing and executing tasks and delivering high quality client products and services.
- Use familiarity with existing and potential clients, academic researchers, and other consultants to identify new clients and business opportunities.
- Support project and business development activities, proposal generation, market assessments, and strategic planning.
- Travel periodically to client/project sites for meetings or other activities may be required.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or a related field.
- 10 years of experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Fluid flow in porous media.
- Injection wells.
- Federal, State, and local regulatory requirements.
- Numerical modeling.
- PE License.
Physical Requirements:
Employee may be conducting field work which could potentially require the following: exposure to varying weather conditions, wearing FRC clothing; standing, crouching and sitting.
Work Environment / Environmental Factors:
The noise level in the primary work environment is usually moderate i.e., business office with computers, printers, and light traffic. The employee may be required to conduct site visits at places and times where exposure to outdoor weather conditions is part of the working environment. The employee may also be required to work in environments where chemicals are present. The employee may be required to work around large equipment and wear appropriate personal protective equipment. Some office and field work may be required outside of normal working hours including nights and weekends.

This is a part-time temporary role located in Austin, TX. This role may involve travel and field work.
