Tetra Tech is looking for a Senior Project Manager Engineer to join our team in King of Prussia, PA. This position will be part of a dynamic team of engineers and scientists engaged in a wide range of engineering and remedial science projects providing civil and/or geotechnical engineering services in environmental restoration, land development, and water resources throughout the Mid-Atlantic Region. The qualified candidate must have a BS in civil or geotechnical engineering and preferably an MS in engineering with a minimum of 15 years working as a Professional Engineer addressing hazardous waste impacts.

Responsibilities: Duties for the position require the skills necessary to support the civil design requirements related to the federal, municipal, industrial, and commercial sectors. Major duties/responsibilities of the position include:

•    Manage municipal and federal projects, as well as compliance with state environmental requirements for states in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast. 
•    Perform site specific evaluations, assessments, engineering studies, design proposals, and project execution services for projects varying in size and scope.
•    Participate in environmental restoration project design developments ensuring key deadlines are met and project team members and design disciplines work together collaboratively and effectively
•    Prepare remedial designs, feasibility studies, remedial action completion reports, and have familiarity with water quality modeling. 
•    Provide team leadership and manage multidisciplinary teams with members located at various geographic locations.
•    Must exhibit exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to simultaneously handle multiple tasks. 
•    Prepare multidisciplinary design plans, specifications, cost estimates, technical documents and contracts.
•    Business development of new clients and maintain existing client relationships; employ a multidisciplinary approach to marketing and sales strategies; identify industry trends, attend and/or present at local, regional, or national conferences. 
•    Supervisory and project management duties.
•    Participate in the professional community and build the Tetra Tech brand.
•    Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements:  
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. •    Professional Engineer (PE) credential (required). PE in the state of Pennsylvania, New York or New Jersey (or the ability to obtain a reciprocal license within one year).
•    Candidate must have 15+ years of progressively managing complex engineering projects.
•    Preparation of construction drawings, details, specifications, calculations, and engineer's estimate of probable construction costs. 
•    Ability to navigate state regulatory approval processes for permitting stormwater and/or wastewater discharges. 
•    Familiarity with and ability to manage those using AutoCAD Civil 3D to produce grading plans, alignments, profiles, cut-fill volumes, surfaces, pipe networks, etc. Familiarity with and ability to manage those using Civil 3d/Plant 3d.  
•    Utilize and review ArcGIS deliverables including spatial analysis and data visualization. 
•    Recent experience with the design of sustainable green infrastructure, including subsurface storage and infiltration, bioretention basins, bioswales, green streets, and constructed wetlands.
•    Technical and administrative supervisor/manager.
•    Experience with cost estimates using available industry software.
•    Strong work ethic and problem-solving skills.
•    Effective time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
•    A valid driver's license.
•    Due to contractual requirements, must be a US Citizen.

Education & Experience:  
•    Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in environmental investigation, design, and remediation.  
•    Bachelor's degree in civil or geotechnical engineering (preferred) or a related engineering discipline. Advanced degree (e.g., MS, PhD) may account for 1-2 years of experience.
•    Experience providing engineering support to municipalities, commercial clients, EPA, USACE, ANG, Navy, etc. 
•    Experience working with the USACE and EPA.
•    Experience with PADEP, NJDEP and NYSDEC agency requirements to successfully complete hazardous waste remediation projects.
•    

Supervisory Responsibilities: 

Will be responsible for supervising staff.

Physical demands of this position are limited to office work and some fieldwork.  Field work may include walking over uneven or rough terrain, some lifting, and safely managing exposure to a range of temperatures and possible wet weather.  Personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided to safely work in the field.

This candidate will have an office in the King of Prussia, PA location. The office is growing, cross-disciplined, and destined to be a hub of engineering and environmental services for Tetra Tech in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast. This position is ideal for a motivated individual to grow with the organization.  Some travel and fieldwork may be required. 

Language & Communication Skills: Effective oral and written communication are essential to this position. The candidate must be fluent in the English language, both in speaking and writing. Report and proposal writing for a range of projects is required.

Other Skills:  
Strong mathematical skills required, including the ability to perform complex calculations and analyses. 
Proficiency in ArcGIS, computer programming, and data reduction and analysis.  Ability to supervise/manage staff proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D software, as well as hydrologic, hydraulic and water quality modeling programs.  Candidate must work well in a professional and team-oriented environment, and independently. Candidate should possess strong organizational skills, excellent leadership skills, and be client focused. Must possess basic computer skills; the computer skills must include proficiency in using the Microsoft Office suite of software (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook).
