Description

We are looking for Security vetting support advisor to provide support to the Security Vetting Team, to provide a comprehensive security vetting coordination service to the Tetra Tech business, working closely with its external vetting providers in ensuring that processes are adhered to and implemented in a timely manner, allowing for quality business delivery.


To provide a support service to staff and projects in the Cumbria office. You will be capable of taking swift action on any number of tasks and efficiently follow approved processes to ensure the deliverables are met. You may be required to help on wider business topics across the support team where the requirement arises.

The role requires you to be adaptable and flexible with an eye for detail and precision. Organisational skills and teamwork are essential to ensure you can multitask, balance priorities and complete tasks that maintain service levels expected by our staff and clients.
Importantly, you must be able to work from the office to carry out key work processes that can only be actioned at the Cockermouth office. This will require you to go through the appropriate security clearance process successfully to secure the role.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Reception duties which will include escorting visitors/contractors
  • Booking of all meeting rooms, setup and management
  • Assist with the building compliance and records
  • Ordering of stationary
  • Undertaking other duties not specifically stated above, which from time to time are necessary for effective performance of the team and the business.
  • Ensure efficient processing of documents
  • Help to maintain archive and track a variety of data
  • Efficient in the use of Microsoft office and database applications such as Bluebeam, PowerPoint, Publisher, Visio, Word, Excel, MS Forms etc.
  • Proactive approach and encompass a role of an exemplar of compliance to GDPR and assist staff to comply with company security and GDPR protocols
  • Liaise with our vetting team to ensure new requests for security clearance are commenced in a timely manner
  • Action and maintain the tracking and booking process of training courses
  • Maintain accurate up-to-date records of completed clearances and applications in process
  • Facilitate requests for clearance confirmations required by client organisations/sites  
  • Provide vetting data to key stakeholders within the business when requested

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE 

  • There is a requirement to hold SC clearance as a minimum to fulfil the role
  • Highly articulate with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Friendly and approachable with excellent customer service
  • Able to multi-task, organise and prioritise workloads whilst remaining calm under pressure
  • Willing to learn and expand your skills and have an attention to detail
  • Able to work well as a team and on your own
  • Willingness to be flexible and adaptable
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel and Outlook, 365)
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Used to working in a highly organised and methodical manner
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, liaising with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Pro-active attitude and a desire to provide a quality customer service
  • A willingness to consider new ways of working and adapt current processes where a beneficial change is identified
