Tetra Tech, Inc. is seeking a full time Remediation Specialist to support our Southern Operations.  The position will be responsible for the oversight of a remediation team and Operations and Maintenance programs for our commercial/industrial clients.


  • Develop work from Commercial/Industrial clients in the remediation field.  Serve as client lead, prepare proposals and preparations, and budgeting of the work 
  • Successfully complete tasks independently and in a leadership role in small groups 
  • Write documents and reports, including technical and financial analysis, conclusions and recommendations.
  • Conduct visual and verbal presentations to internal and external clients focused on report conclusions (analyses summary, conclusions, and recommendations) and training others.

  • Utilize expertise (technical, logistical, regulatory, and finance) to assess project value and risk and cost minimization. 

  • Utilize conventional approaches to present innovative cost saving solutions to clients.

  • Work with and build relationships with public, commercial, or international customers by managing and executing tasks and delivering high quality client products and services.

  • Use familiarity with existing clients, oil and gas clients, other consultants, and investors to identify new clients and business opportunities and execute them.

  • Support project and business development activities, proposal generation, market assessments, and strategic planning on an as-requested basis by management.

  • Periodic travel to project sites for meetings, audits, or other activities may be required.

Desired qualifications for the position include:

  • 15+ years of experience with directing, managing, technical direction, and implementing:
    • Remediation Operations and Maintenance at industrial facilities involving multimedia (e.g., waste, water, and air) and a demonstrated knowledge of applicable regulations and reporting requirements; and

    • Ability to compare, select, and implement relevant and applicable technologies.  This may include conventional and state-of-the-art or innovative technologies. 

  • Successful track record of supporting project teams with technical skills and approach

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: 15+ years of experience in related capacities.. Knowledge of federal, state and local environmental requirements. 


LANGUAGE and COMPUTER SKILLS:  Applicants should be fluent in the English language (speaking and writing); and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.  Fluency in Spanish (speaking and writing) is a plus. Computer Skills must include experience with Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

MATHEMATICAL & FINANCIAL SKILLS: Candidates must possess the ability to work with basic mathematical and financial concepts and principles that will aid in calculating unit conversions, concentrations, dimensions, and volumes, and project financial metrics. 


REASONING ABILITY: Candidates must possess the ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form to be able to follow instructions and procedures relative to this position.

The noise level in the primary work environment is usually moderate i.e., business office with computers, printers, and light traffic.  The employee may be required to conduct site visits at places and times where exposure to outdoor weather conditions is part of the working environment.  The employee may also be required to work in environments where chemicals are present.
