Tetra Tech is adding a Junior Compliance Analyst to our Public Assistance team based in Remote capacity.  This is a project-based, temporary role with an estimated assignment length of 6 to 12 months.

Your Role:

The Junior Compliance Analyst supports the Compliance Officer and other Business Units in ensuring adherence to company policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and regulatory requirements. This position plays a critical role in maintaining documentation accuracy, assisting with audits, supporting training initiatives, and promoting a culture of compliance across the organization.

SOP and Policy Support

·       Assist in drafting, editing, and maintaining SOPs and internal policy documents.

·       Collaborate with operational teams to ensure that procedures are documented clearly and consistently.

·       Help manage the compliance document repository and track updates to policies and SOPs.

Compliance Monitoring

·       Support compliance audits and policy reviews by preparing checklists, gathering documentation, and compiling findings.

·       Monitor routine adherence to SOPs through check-ins, observations, and data tracking.

·       Assist in the identification of gaps in compliance and support corrective action tracking.

Training and Communication

·       Support the development and delivery of compliance training materials under the guidance of the Compliance Officer.

·       Help maintain training records and ensure timely distribution of updated SOPs and policy communications.

·       Serve as a point of contact for basic compliance inquiries from internal staff.

Reporting and Documentation

·       Assist in compiling reports, meeting notes, and internal memos related to compliance activities.

·       Maintain organized records of compliance events, training attendance, and enforcement actions.

·       Track and document findings from audits, assessments, and reviews.

Continuous Improvement

·       Help gather feedback from staff on existing procedures and training materials.

·       Research industry standards and regulatory updates as assigned.

·       Support efforts to improve document clarity, accessibility, and usability.

·       Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards.

·       Pursue continuous professional development and maintain a high degree of discipline knowledge and awareness.

·       Work in a safe manner at all times and report all health and safety incidents and concerns.

·       Additional duties as required.

·       Travel may be required at times.

Qualifications:

Required:

·       Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Legal Studies, or a related field (or in progress).

·       1–2 years of relevant experience (internships or academic projects acceptable).

·       Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

·       Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

·       Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

·       Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and/or document management systems.

Preferred:

·       Experience with policy writing or process documentation.

·       Exposure to compliance, auditing, or quality assurance in any sector.

·       Interest in regulatory environments, process improvement, or risk management.

·       Knowledge of SharePoint or similar platforms.
