Tetra Tech is currently seeking a part-time, Environmental Technician work for our Denver, CO operation.

The qualified candidate will involve the collection of particulate samples from project sites located around the city of Denver. The daily routine will involve sample collection, sample collection documentation, and transportation to a designated laboratory. The candidate will be trained on the standard operating procedure and mechanical maintenance. The sample collection occurs during an early morning 4-hour shift from 4:30 am - 8:30 am for 2 weeks followed by 1 week off, then repeat. Additional group meetings and trainings are not always during the 4:30 am - 8:30 am schedule but are scheduled with advanced notice. 

This position allows has the potential to support other project and task that may arise in relation to other contracts outside of the listed above work.


Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 0-2 years providing environmental sampling support. You must have / be 
•    Able to maintain air sampling equipment is desirable.
•    Work well in a team environment as well as perform tasks without a lot of oversight. 
•    Strong attention to details, organizational skills, and good observation skills.
•    Excellent communication
•    Highly motivated
•    Customer focused and excellent client interaction.
•    Able to document notes in electronic forms. 
•    Must be able to teach others and quickly pick up additional skills as needed. 

In addition, this position requires:
•    Drive on a regular basis.  Passing a motor vehicle record background check and maintaining a valid driver's license and good driving record is required.
•    A background check. 


Degree / Certifications
•    High school graduate required.
•    B.A/B.S. in Environmental Science or related degree desirable.
 
Work Environment

The work environment will consist of field work.  Early morning shift to collect air samples requires daily driving and walking around the city of Denver.  Typical daily work hours are from 4:30 am to 8:30 am Monday – Sunday for 2 weeks (7 days/week) and then one week off.. You must be able to:
•    Drive on a regular basis.  Passing a motor vehicle record background check and maintaining a valid driver's license and good driving record is required.
•    Work during all weather conditions, in all seasons and temperature extremes, both hot and cold.
•    Work on weekends and holidays as needed.
•    Work from 4:30am – 8:30am, Monday – Sunday for 2 weeks on and then one week off.
•    Lift air sampling equipment may be required for service.


The hourly rate of this position is $28.00/hour, depending on education, experience, skills, and location.
