Tetra Tech is seeking an entry-level Environmental or Civil Engineer for our Lansing, MI office. This location provides design engineering and construction management services for the city and surrounding municipalities as well as municipal and industrial clients across the US.
As a Civil/Environmental Engineer, you will be responsible for design on wastewater/water utilities, including stormwater drainage systems, and other municipal infrastructure projects as well as industrial wastewater treatment projects. Below are some of the typical duties of this position:
- Assist with design on diverse infrastructure projects in wastewater/water treatment and conveyance including QA/QC responsibility.
- Be open to working across office locations/projects with some travel involved.
- Interact with infrastructure engineers across Tetra Tech.
- Assist with developing business by helping Project Managers demonstrate to clients the team's talent for solving complex issues with innovative solutions.
- Stay abreast of new and innovative approaches to solving municipal wastewater and water challenges.
Successful candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering with 1-2 years of experience and a passion for working with utility work – sewers, water mains, pump stations, site grading design. EIT certification is essential, with goal of PE registration. In addition, the candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. An excellent driving record is essential and must be maintained during employment.
