Glumac, A Tetra Tech Company, is actively searching for an accomplished Energy Consultant to become a valued member of our expanding Building Science Group. This dynamic role requires adeptly overseeing and spearheading numerous pioneering energy consulting endeavors and teams. Your expertise will be pivotal as you offer guidance to building proprietors and architects concerning sustainable design and operational tactics. Moreover, you will take charge of furnishing and supervising energy consulting solutions for both newly constructed and existing structures.

 

As a cornerstone of this role, you will contribute significantly to energy planning, sustainability building design, other existing building optimization services. You will play a pivotal role in formulating comprehensive plans for achieving net-zero energy and carbon neutrality across various scales, from individual building to larger campuses and portfolios. This position presents an exciting opportunity to channel your skills and experience toward reshaping the energy landscape of tomorrow.

 

The ideal candidate for this role should have:

  • A degree in Engineering, Building Sciences, or related technical fields.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in sustainable building design or energy sectors.
  • Expertise in MEP systems, sustainable building design, and decarbonized energy systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of energy codes and standards.
  • Proficiency in building energy modeling, energy audits or retro-commissioning
  • Experience with software tools like IES-VE, EnergyPlus, OpenStudio, and CBECC-com.
  • Experience with data analytics and program (Python, R, SQL).
  • Ability to utilize advanced data analytics and effectively communicate analysis results.

 

The ideal candidate should have a background in sustainable infrastructure and building design, with knowledge of central utility plants, electrified heating technologies, renewable energy and distribute energy resources. Experience with climate action, sustainability, decarbonization, resilience and energy master planning for campuses and building portfolios is preferred. Proficiency in in business analytics, Power BI, Tableau, and relevant certifications (PE, LEED AP, CEM, BEMP) are advantageous.

This role presents a remote work arrangement; however, candidates must be located within the United States and authorized to work here. Although we prefer candidates based in Portland or Seattle, we welcome applications from individuals across the country who possess the necessary qualifications and a strong desire to contribute to Glumac's mission. Salary Range: $85,000 - $125,000

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the proposed salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Glumac's total compensation package for employees.
