About the role

The Credit Controller will be primarily responsible for managing debtor collections in accordance with the agreed trading terms. You will also provide professional credit control expertise, service, and leadership to all credit collection decisions. You will proactively add value to credit control decision-making across the business. The role will also work collaboratively across operations, establishing relationships with the management team to raise cash flow performance awareness and facilitate effective business partner support.



You'll be responsible for:

·    Collecting debtor balances according to agreed payment terms, company credit policies and individual targets

·    Supporting Doubtful Debt and Bad debt provisioning ensuring accuracy of information

·    Liaising with project managers, admin staff, managers and clients to respond and resolve queries and disputes on invoices

·    Developing and maintaining trusted relationships with clients, internal and external stakeholders, suppliers and vendors to enhance engagement and service levels

·    Managing inbound & outbound client calls

·    Monitoring outstanding debts, maintaining accurate ledgers, and implementing effective timely collection strategies to optimise working capital

·    Implementing and managing invoicing procedures and systems, credit notes and error management

·    Ensuring credit management processes comply with corporate governance, audit standards, and relevant financial regulations



About you

This role is perfect for a highly motivated and commercially astute professional who is looking to make a difference within a professional services environment. 

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

·     Completion of Diploma/Bachelor of Business/Accounting/Finance or equivalent work experience

·     Strong customer service skills, with experience assisting and responding to customers over the phone

·       Experience in preparing regular aged debt reports, assisting with cash flow forecast and highlighting risks relating to debtors' outstanding

·       Ability to work closely with project managers, legal team, address client disputes and protect revenue stream

·       Excel skills and exposure to ERP systems
