The opportunity

• Based in Australia (in office, hybrid or remote)
• Full-time ongoing role
• Lead complex projects from inception to delivery, ensuring technical excellence and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Apply technical expertise in infrastructure development across various sectors, ensuring high-quality and timely deliverables.
• Develop and deliver proposals, bid strategies, and marketing efforts to secure new business opportunities.
• Lead and oversee complex infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance, budget control, and client satisfaction.
• Promote sustainability, gender equality, and inclusive development across all initiatives.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.
• Mentor and support the professional growth of less experienced staff within the practice area.
• Monitor industry trends and contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and methodologies.
• Actively engage in marketing, scoping, and strategic planning to support business growth.

Selection criteria

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Project or Construction Management, or a related field.
• Professional body accreditation is advantageous.
• At least 8 years of experience in infrastructure delivery, with a minimum of 5 years in business development within international development or a related field. Experience on international development projects is highly valued.
• Proven track record in bid management and project delivery for donors like DFAT, ADB, or World Bank.
• Familiarity with international contracting standards (e.g., FIDIC, AS2124, AS4000).
• Experience balancing technical, financial, and client needs across diverse teams.
• Strong business acumen with financial and analytical expertise.
• Excellent written, oral, and presentation skills in multicultural and multidisciplinary settings.
• Strategic thinker with influencing and negotiation capabilities.
