Overview

BlueWater Federal is looking for a Project Specialist-Training to support a FEMA program

 

100% remote work

 

FEMA requires additional digital communication services to implement user-friendly and accessible updates to FEMA.gov and the FEMA App that improve the customer experience (CX) and ensure clear communication about agency initiatives being rolled out in 2024.


Responsibilities

  • Leverage insights from usability studies and analytics to scope various improvements to FEMA.gov and other FEMA websites, including but not limited to improvements related to web content organization, information architecture, front-end web design, new website features, website consolidation or connections between FEMA websites.
  • Define design and development activities related to suggested improvements and work with FEMA web team and program office teams to prioritize which improvements to take action on.
  • Support the development of new web content and website features

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, Public Administration, Journalism, or a related field. Equivalent work experience may be considered.
  • 4+ years of experience is required.
  • Must have or be eligible for a High-risk Public Trust; US Citizenship required
  • Proven experience in creating and managing content for web platforms, specifically for government or public sector initiatives. Ability to develop informative, engaging, and user-friendly webpages that communicate complex initiatives effectively.
  • Expertise in developing content strategies that align with organizational goals and project objectives. Ability to structure content effectively to meet the needs of diverse audiences.
  • Ability to coordinate content development projects, manage timelines, and ensure the successful delivery of content for various FEMA initiatives.
  • Proficiency with content management systems (CMS) such as Drupal or similar, for creating and maintaining web content. Ability to manage content updates and ensure accuracy and consistency across webpages.
