Indirect District Manager - Wireless Zone 

GENERAL POSITION PURPOSE:

The District Manager is responsible for managing sales and operational performance across the indirect channel. Additionally, the District Manager is responsible for maintaining positive and productive relationships with our partners as they are the primary point of contact for helping drive the business. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

SALES and OPERATIONS

  • Live out and lead to the companies 5 Promises with employees, customers, and in the community.
  • Conduct store visits: sales observations, customer interactions, downtime utilization, marketing checks, and monitor compliance with policies and procedures. 
  • Manage and follow-up on escalated customer service inquires to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction is met.
  • Host sales trainings as needed with your ownership groups to ensure sales best practices are being utilized.
  • Conduct weekly team calls as means of communication to keep in touch with your ownership groups about business updates. 
  • Monitor store attainment of sales and operational targets set by the company.
  • Track and communicate store performance priorities and company changes to owners through daily and weekly huddles. 
  • Consult on acquisitions, relocations and organic locations to ensure our partners continue to achieve success and grow the business.
  • Communicate, train, and coach on POS and all Verizon Product System Process Guidelines
  • Partner and provide feedback to owner leadership with store operational and sales performance.
  • Ensure compliance with all required Round Room and Verizon Training courses.

LEADERSHIP EXPECTATIONS

  • Responsible for overseeing, communicating, meeting and reporting on all sales and operational standards.
  • Build and maintain a positive relationship with business partners and vendors, to include Verizon partners within your area.
  • Serve as lead regarding company-wide or departmental rollouts, promotions, updates etc.
  • Effective implementation and compliance of company initiatives and systems. 
  • Demonstrate an understanding and apply the companies' culture to include all components of the 5 Promises.  
  • Follow up and own a resolution to any store related issues via open tickets.                                                    

INDIVIDUAL EXPECTATIONS

  • Awareness and adherence to laws and regulations impacting a Franchise system and indirect channel.
  • Follow expense policy and submit expense report in a timely manner according to policy.
  • Be a positive influence with your owner teams, peers, customers, and in the community. 
  • Follow all guidelines provided in the Employee Handbook and Code of Conduct and report any unethical or illegal activities to Compliance or HR.
  • Review Store Support communications and complete tasks in a timely manner.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree preferred and or equivalent experience. High school diploma required.
  • 3-5 years' work experience in sales management preferably in retail
  • Wireless retail experience preferred.

  • Experience in sales
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of prior successful Indirect or Franchise experience, preferably in wireless or retail.

  • Typically works in a split office environment and in the field.

 

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

 

  • Flexible travel required for business needs up to 50% of the time.
