Description

Sutter Medical Group (SMG) seeks to hire a Board Eligible or Board Certified Interventional Radiologist to join our well-established practice in the Greater Sacramento Area.

This role offers a dynamic work environment with manageable volumes and opportunities for professional growth.

Sutter Medical Group is part of a large statewide healthcare organization with the ability to receive referrals for IR specialty care from surrounding areas. Compensation is competitive with additional pay for call coverage. There are 80 + radiologists in our group, with 11 interventional radiologists. We have a flexible schedule with ample vacation time and the opportunity to work additional interventional or diagnostic radiologist shifts for compensation if desired. We have collaborative relationships with medical oncology participating in tumor boards and vascular surgery with angio conferences. The Interventional Radiology practice is busy, staffing two hospitals with referrals from multiple affiliated hospitals, two outpatient IR procedure locations, two IR clinics daily, and interpretation of the non-invasive vascular imaging studies. We have a robust practice with each IR having one clinic a week and we provide the full spectrum of interventional services including interventional oncology, deep venous interventions, PAD, superficial venous treatments, vertebral augmentation, and general IR procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • 1-2 hospital days. 1 outpatient day, 1 dedicated clinic day, either 1 day off or 1 day for reading; Call burden – 1 in 12 for night call; 1 in 6 for weekend call
  • Participate in a subspecialty-structured radiology group
  • Manage 179 shifts per year, equivalent to a 1.0 FTE
  • Enjoy a 4-day average workweek and 10 weeks of scheduled vacation
