Overview
Are you detail-oriented, analytical, and interested in public service? Join our team and help ensure the integrity of Vermont's Unemployment Insurance (UI) program.
In this entry-level role, you'll work directly with claimants and employers to review benefit claims, resolve issues, identify underpayments and overpayments, and support the collection of overpayments and delinquencies. This position offers hands-on training and the opportunity to build expertise in audit, compliance, and investigations.

Incumbents must be able to work in stressful and sometimes emotional situations and treat the public with sensitivity, fairness, and tact. Incumbents may encounter clients who are uncooperative or who may be hostile during interviews for which considerable human relations skills are required. Workload volume will be extremely high on occasion.
Minimum QualificationsHigh School diploma or equivalent AND three (3) years or more of experience performing fiscal auditing, accounting, quality assurance or collections work.
Preferred QualificationsAssociate's or bachelor's degree.
